What will support from European funds look like after 2027? Which areas should the Czech Republic focus on, and how will preparations for the new programming period proceed? These questions were discussed at the European Funds 2028+: Priorities, Preparations and Opportunities round table, held in Prague on 23 September 2026. A recording of the expert discussion is now available in English.

The round table was opened with introductory remarks by Minister for Regional Development Zuzana Mrázová. The discussion that followed focused on the future shape of European funds and the preparation of the National and Regional Partnership Plan of the Czech Republic. It brought together European and national perspectives on the period after 2027 and on the topics that will shape preparations for the future direction of European funds.

Strong interest from participants in the room and online

The event attracted considerable interest from the expert community. The venue quickly reached capacity, while hundreds more participants followed the live stream. The audience also joined the discussion through the Slido platform. Speakers answered questions from participants in the room as well as from those following the event online.

The European Commission’s perspective was presented by Marie Donnay from SG REFORM and Emma Toledano Laredo from DG REGIO. The Ministry for Regional Development was represented by Deputy Ministers Olga Nebeská and Klára Kracíková, together with Kamil Papež. Representatives of other ministries also contributed to the expert discussion.
