Where EU funds help
To make sure EU funding is spent efficiently, it is important to monitor where it goes and what positive impacts it brings. In the statistics of drawing of the ESI funds, you can find how many projects are being implemented, and how much money has been paid to the beneficiaries. A full list of beneficiaries and projects is available in the List of Operations. Projects that have been implemented since 2007 are displayed in the Map of Projects. The Indicators page shows the results of ESI Funds intervention. To make sure EU funding is spent efficiently, it is important to monitor where it goes and what positive impacts it brings. National level
The Czech Republic started preparations for the future period 2028+ already during its presidency of the Council of the EU in 2022. At the national level, debates are taking place in working groups and platforms in which the subjects of the implementation structure and other economic, social and territorial partners participate. The aim is to prepare the national position of the Czech Republic with the definition of key areas for financing from European funds and proposals for simplifying the system of their use.
The National Coordination Authority developed the document
"Starting points for the position of the Czech Republic in the direction of the cohesion policy after 2027"
, which was approved by the government of the Czech Republic in July 2024.
This document will be followed by material defining
the "Strategic framework of the cohesion policy after 2027
". The
individual steps are aimed at promoting the key priorities of the Czech Republic and ensuring effective financing from European Union funds for the next program period.
How is the negotiation coordinated?
The Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic is responsible for negotiating the multi-year financial framework. The Ministry for Regional Development, specifically the National Authority for Coordination, focuses on debates on the thematic and legislative setting of cohesion policy. In the fall of 2023, PS launched the Cohesion 2028 expert platform, which focuses on the preparation of the legislative framework. The discussion on priority areas of support and effective use of funds will take place in parallel, among other things, with the involvement of
national economic experts.
